With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Nick Pascua, who departed this life on May 18, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on July 8, 1957, in Manila, Philippines, Nick's journey was one of resilience, love, and unwavering faith. He passed away at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia, after a prolonged battle with illness, surrounded by the comforting presence of his wife and children. Nick is survived by his devoted wife, Juvy, a Registered Nurse and Midwife, who was his soulmate and partner in life. Together, they built a beautiful life, first in Riyadh, where they shared passions for love, food, hobbies, and travel, and were blessed with two wonderful children. They later welcomed their youngest son in the United States. Nick's legacy is lovingly carried on by his children, Rasha Leigh, Jordan Dale, and Ivan Israel, and his cherished grandchildren, Christopher Jayden and Tristan Jamayne, who brought immense joy to his life. His son-in-law, Alfonso, and his siblings, including his brother Ben and sisters Pespee, Gilette, and Alipette, along with numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces, also mourn his loss. A man of many talents, Nick's educational journey began in Manila, hopping between various courses before finding his calling. He ultimately graduated with a degree in Computer Science, which led to a rewarding career in IT. Known for his quick wit, intelligence, and problem-solving abilities, Nick became the lead programmer at the Bank of the Philippines and served as a System Analyst/Programmer at the Automation Center of the Philippines, where he also shared his knowledge as an instructor. Nick's determination to provide for his family took him overseas to Saudi Arabia, where he made history as the first non-Saudi head of division at the Saudi Electricity Company. His expertise was recognized globally, leading to his recruitment to the United States during the Y2K crisis. As a Senior IT Consultant, Nick earned the admiration of his colleagues through his hard work and dedication. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Nick was a man of deep faith and humility. A devoted servant of God, he was never shy about sharing his love and passion for his faith, attending Sunday worship faithfully and living a life that testified to God's grace. He embraced his calling to love and serve his family sacrificially, embodying the biblical model of Christ's love for the church. His life was a testament to his integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. Nick's hobbies included a passion for photography, evolving from the era of 35mm film to digital technology. He loved music and played the guitar, bringing joy to others with his folk songs. Known for his quick wit and infectious laugh, Nick had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and he was always there to lend a hand or offer a listening ear. In his passing, Nick leaves behind a circle of friends from the Davita Dialysis Center in Tyson, where he received treatment and formed bonds that extended beyond mere acquaintances. He was a beloved figure, known for his spirit of humility and love, and his legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. As his family, we bow in humble submission to the will of God, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). We take comfort in the knowledge that Nick's work on earth is now complete, and he rests at God's gentle feet, in eternal peace. His warmth, strength, and extraordinary character will forever be remembered and cherished. Faithful Rest, dear Nick. Through every trial, your faith held fast. Your legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire us all.
