With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nicholas Rowland, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on June 14, 2026. Born on September 19, 1995, in the close-knit community of Waycross, Georgia, Nicholas brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. Nicholas was the cherished son of the late Carol and John Rowland, who instilled in him values of kindness and resilience. His journey in life was shared with his late sister, with whom he shared many cherished memories. The bond he forged with his surviving brother, along with his cousins and uncles, was one of unwavering support and love—a testament to the strength of family ties that Nicholas held dear. A man of simple joys, Nicholas found fulfillment in his work at the Sonic Drive-In in Waycross, where he made many friends over the years. Later, as a driver at Safe Dependable Care, he applied his gentle nature and commitment to service, leaving a lasting impression on those he encountered. Nicholas had an innate ability to bring smiles to people's faces. He found happiness in the happiness of others, often spending hours on the phone, connecting with friends and family, offering a listening ear or a word of encouragement. His laughter and warmth were infectious, a light that brightened even the cloudiest days. Though his journey was marked by a long illness, Nicholas faced each day with courage and grace. His life, though too brief, was a testament to resilience and the profound impact of a kind heart. A service to celebrate Nicholas’s life will be held on June 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Liberty Christian Church. Family, friends, and all those whose lives Nicholas touched are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived. As we say our final goodbyes to Nicholas, we hold his memory close, forever grateful for the love and laughter he shared with us. May he rest in peace, reunited with his parents and sister, embraced in the love of those who went before him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Nicholas’s name to a charity of choice, spreading joy and kindness as Nicholas did in his lifetime.
