Ángel López Rivera, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on April 1, 1943, in Colima, Mexico, Ángel was the cherished son of Luis López and Rosario López Angel had 7 siblings Ramon, Antonia, Francisco, Mariana, Felipe, and Andres. His life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and the joy of family. Ángel's journey began in Colima, where he was raised with strong values and a deep sense of responsibility. He served honorably in the Mexican Army for several years, demonstrating his commitment to service and his country. His military service instilled in him a profound sense of discipline and duty, qualities that he carried with him throughout his life. On June 1, 1967, Ángel married the love of his life, Norma López, beginning a beautiful journey together that lasted until her passing. Their union was blessed with a large and loving family, and together they raised their children with unwavering love and guidance. Ángel is survived by his devoted children, Rosa Martínez, Miguel López, Luis López, Francisco López, César López, Angélica López, María López, and Abel López. His legacy also includes 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy for him. Ángel spent over fifty years working in agriculture, dedicating his life to providing for his family and contributing to the community. He was known as a hard worker and a great provider, always ensuring that his loved ones were cared for. His colleagues and friends admired him for his straightforward nature and his tireless work ethic. Music was a significant part of Ángel's life, and he found great joy in it. He was an exceptional dancer, and his love for music brought happiness to all those around him. Whether it was a family gathering or a community event, Ángel's presence was always marked by the rhythm of the music and the joy it brought to him and others. Ángel was predeceased by his loving wife, Norma, but leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and hope that will continue to inspire those who knew him. His family will remember him as a pillar of strength and a beacon of love. A service to celebrate Ángel's remarkable life will be held on August 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Serenity Funeral Home, located at 5042 N Freno Street, Fresno, CA 94710. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the memory of a man whose life was a testament to love, dedication, and joy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ángel's memory to a charity of your choice, as a way of continuing his legacy of generosity and kindness.
