Nettie Carol Bennett

Nettie C. Bennett, 65, of Beggs, passed away Thursday, July 30th, 2026 in McAlester, OK. Nettie was born on January 31, 1961, in Jacksonville, Mississippi to Carol and Nettie Cox. On she married the love of her life, Dennis Bennett. Nettie grew up and had many hobbies, including, Girl Scouts, 4H, softball, basketball, choir, and sewing. She was an avid collector (of all things) and enjoyed looking for neat rocks and arrowheads with her grandchildren. Most of all Nettie loved being surrounded by family and friends no matter the occasion. She is survived by her son, Joseph Rush and wife Indica of Abilene, TX; daughter, Dakota Sanchez of Beggs, OK; grandchildren, Jagger Sanchez, Pink Sadler, Dawson Owens, and Evelyn Rush; siblings, Kathy Westbrook of McAlester, OK, Samantha Trench of Abilene, TX, and Shawn Cox of Blair, OK; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ray Bennett; father, Carrol Gene Cox; mother, Nettie N. Cox; and niece, Rachel Risenhoover.
