Neil Joseph Andras

May 1, 1989 — September 27, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Neil Joseph Andras, who left us suddenly on September 27, 2026. Born on May 1, 1989, in New Iberia, Louisiana, Neil was a beacon of warmth and humor to all who knew him. The son of Hayward P. Bourque, Jr. and Angela Marie Andras, Neil was cherished deeply by his family and friends. Neil spent his formative years in the Iberia Parish school system, where he built the foundations of a life filled with laughter and love. He worked as a shipper at 1st Solar, where his dedication and hard work were appreciated by colleagues and superiors alike. A true son of Louisiana, Neil was passionate about fishing and frogging with his beloved dogs by his side. He was an ardent fan of the New Orleans Saints, often gathering with friends and family to cheer on his favorite team. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, Neil had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel like family. His ability to lighten the mood with a joke and his unmatched love for his children and family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Neil's legacy is carried on by his children: daughters Macey and Serenity Andras, and sons Neil Jr., Julian, CAseon, and Nathan Andras, all of New Iberia, LA. He is also survived by his sisters, Jessi Bourque of New Iberia, LA, and Katelynn Bourque of Jeanerette, LA, his brother Cody Paul Bourque of New Iberia, LA, and his grandparents Lucy Vincent, Hayward Bourque Sr., Janell Andras, and Wilson Andras, Jr. He leaves behind a godson, Garge Darden, who was dear to his heart. Neil was predeceased by his beloved step-father, Wilfred Gary, whose memory he held dear. The bonds of family were central to Neil's life, and his love for them knew no bounds. In memory of Neil, his family requests that donations be made to a charity of their choice, honoring his generous spirit and the love he shared with those around him. As we gather to remember Neil Joseph Andras, we celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the enduring impact of his love, laughter, and kindness. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
