Nathaniel Theophis Williams, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at the home of his granddaughter in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Born on June 24, 1944, in Chesterfield, Missouri, Nathaniel was a cherished soul who lived a life full of love, dedication, and craftsmanship. Nathaniel was the cherished son of Opal and John Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved brothers John Jr., Theo, and Alphonso Williams, his sisters Thelma, Shirley, Barbara, and Sadie, and his great-granddaughter Morgan. He is survived by his devoted children James (Teresa), Calvin (Christine), John, Samuel, Curtis (Calondra), Darlene, and Velma, who carry forward his legacy of love and family commitment. He was a proud grandfather to 29 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, all of whom fondly remember him as "Paw Paw." A graduate of the Irving School in Missouri, Nathaniel was a passionate baseball player and remained an ardent fan of the sport throughout his life. Beyond his love for baseball, he was a self-taught carpenter for over 60 years—a craft he honed with pride and dedication. His work not only built structures but also laid the foundations of a life well-lived and filled with joy and purpose. For 39 years, Nathaniel was the devoted husband of Ann Williams, until her passing. Together, they created a warm and loving home, filled with laughter, faith, and a deep devotion to their family. Nathaniel's love for his family was only rivaled by his commitment to his church community, where he was an active member until his health began to decline. Nathaniel's life was a testament to the values of hard work, devotion, and love. His joy was found in the simple pleasures of life: a well-crafted piece of woodwork, the laughter of his grandchildren, and the shared faith and fellowship of his church family. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nathaniel's memory to the charity of your choice, reflecting his spirit of generosity and service to others.
