December 31, 1986 — March 30, 2026

It is with profound sadness and deep respect that we announce the passing of our beloved Nathan LaRue Butler Jr., who departed this world peacefully on March 30, 2026, at the age of 39, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 31, 1986, in Social Circle, Georgia, Nathan was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and unwavering compassion, whose legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. Nathan was the cherished son of Deborah Rush and the late Nathan LaRue Butler Sr. From an early age, Nathan exhibited a loving nature and a boundless capacity for empathy, qualities that would shape his interactions throughout his life. He was a man who embraced everyone with the same kindness, never passing judgment, and always ready with a helping hand. His capacity to uplift and support those around him was unparalleled, and his presence was a source of comfort and inspiration to many. Nathan shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife, Valerie, whose love and partnership were the cornerstones of his happiness. Together, they nurtured a family filled with love and laughter, raising their cherished daughter, Olivia Butler, who was the light of Nathan's life. His gentle spirit and dedication to his family were the hallmarks of his character. Nathan was also a beloved brother to his sisters, Nicole Butler and Rebecca Stewart, who will forever hold him close in their hearts. His love extended to his extended family, including nine nieces and nephews and one great-nephew, who adored him and will remember him for his warmth and generosity. Though he did not have grandchildren, his legacy of love and kindness will undoubtedly echo through the generations of his family. Friends and family will gather to celebrate Nathan's life and honor the profound impact he had on all who knew him. A service will be held on April 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home. Here, we will come together to share stories, shed tears, and find solace in the cherished memories of a life lived with love and purpose. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nathan's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his spirit of giving and helping those in need. Though Nathan's time with us was far too short, his spirit will endure in the acts of kindness he inspired. As we bid farewell to our beloved Nathan, we take comfort in the knowledge that his journey continues in the hearts of his loved ones, where his warmth, generosity, and love will forever reside.
