Naomi E. Moye, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this world to join her Lord and Savior on June 14, 2026, at the age of 97. Her journey began on February 12, 1929, in the charming town of Pascagoula, Mississippi, born to loving parents, Tommie Lett and Jonnie Mae Sankey Lett. Naomi's life was a testament to grace, kindness, and unwavering faith. She married the love of her life, Ernest Lee Moye, on June 25, and together they built a family filled with love and laughter. Though Ernest predeceased her, their bond remained an everlasting source of strength for Naomi. Naomi's legacy continues through her devoted children: Ernest L. Moye Jr. and his wife Kathy, Mallon J. Moye and his wife Robin, Stephen C. Moye, whose late wife Janice remains in their hearts, Cynthia A. Goggin and her husband Earl, and Naomi C. Moye. Her family blossomed with five cherished grandchildren and ten precious great-grandchildren, whom she adored and who brought immense joy to her life. Her sister, Marie Stokes, also survives her and shares in the family's memories of Naomi's extraordinary life. Education and service were cornerstones of Naomi's life. While nurturing her five children, she embarked on a remarkable career with the United States Postal Service, where she rose to the position of Supervisor and Post Master. Her commitment to community service was evident through her volunteer work at The Women's Center in Beaver and her role as a substitute teacher in New Brighton after her retirement. Naomi was an active and dedicated member of the St. John AME Church in Beaver, Pennsylvania, where her faith and compassion for others shone brightly. Her grace extended beyond the pews, as she lovingly sewed garments and tended to her garden, nurturing both plants and relationships with equal care. Her home was a haven of warmth, where family and dear friends gathered, enveloped in her kindness and hospitality. Naomi's enduring legacy is one of faith, love, and resilience, a reflection of her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to those she held dear. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Naomi's memory to St. John AME Church in Beaver, Pennsylvania, to continue the work that was so close to her heart. Naomi E. Moye leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories and a family bound by the love she so generously bestowed upon them. Her life was a testament to the beauty of a well-lived journey, and she will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
