Naomi Carrie Moye

Naomi Carrie Moye, a beacon of compassion and inspiration, passed away on July 23, 2026. Born on March 28, 1960, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Naomi's life was a testament to dedication, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of others. Naomi was the cherished daughter of the late Ernest and Naomi Moye. Her early years were spent in the warm embrace of her family, including her dear Aunt Viola Lett-MaGee, beloved uncles Thomas and Jerry Moye, and cousins Jermaine, Jeffrey, and Virgie, all of whom predeceased her. A proud graduate of Riverside High School, class of 1978, Naomi pursued higher education at the University of Alabama and further honed her skills through an Entrepreneurial Development Program at Carnegie Mellon University. Her educational journey laid the groundwork for a remarkable career. Naomi's professional life was marked by her role as CEO of Abraham's Group, a government and public relations firm. She was a visionary who developed AIM2EXCEL, a mentoring initiative for urban girls, providing them with opportunities and guidance to excel. Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Naomi showcased her foresight and compassion by creating a Special Needs Registry—the first of its kind in the nation—to aid in the evacuation of people with disabilities and the elderly, ensuring the underserved were not forgotten. Her interests extended beyond her professional achievements. Naomi had a passion for the film industry and co-produced the comedy series "The Urbans," with other exciting projects in the pipeline. Her creative spirit was matched only by her warmth and love for God and nature, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her. Naomi was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Washington, and leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever. She is survived by her sister, Cynthia Goggin; brothers, Ernest (wife Kathy) Mallon and Steve Moye; and numerous friends and colleagues who were touched by her kindness and generosity. A service to honor Naomi's extraordinary life will take place on August 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St John's Wayman Chapel AME, located at 715 Mulberry Street, Bridgewater, PA 15009. For those unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Naomi's spirit of giving and her lifelong commitment to making the world a better place. Naomi Carrie Moye's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched, and her memory will forever be a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know her.
