Nancy Lynn Boice

Nancy Lynn Boice, born on June 8, 1956, in Robstown, Texas, peacefully departed this world on September 16, 2026, at her home, having valiantly battled diabetes and heart failure. She was surrounded by love and comfort, enveloped by memories of a life well-lived. The cherished daughter of Gerald and Helen Boice, Nancy was predeceased by her beloved parents and her dear niece, Tracy E. McKee Alexander. She leaves behind a loving family, including her devoted siblings, Deb E. Conrad of Kentucky and Barbara A. Alexander of Palestine. Nancy's legacy continues through her son and daughter in law, Charles J. McGee and is wife Lisa McGee of Lubbock, and her adored grandchildren, Makaiah J. McGee and Malakai J. McGee, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she held close to her heart. Nancy shared a significant chapter of her life with Charles G. McGee, whom she married on March 12, 1976. Though they later divorced in 1999, their friendship endured, a testament to their enduring bond. A proud graduate of Palestine High School in 1974, Nancy began her journey in ministry, inspired by her faith and love for her family. Later, she pursued higher education, earning an Associate degree from SPC and a Bachelor's degree in computers from LCU in Lubbock, Texas. Her early career as a pharmacist equipped her with skills that she carried into her later work. Nancy found fulfillment at the Texas Tech Health Science Center in Lubbock, where her warmth and dedication touched all who sought her help. Health challenges eventually led to her retirement, yet her spirit remained vibrant. Nancy was an active member of Norwood Heights Church in Palestine, where her Sunday school class held a special place in her heart. She cherished her community and spoke fondly of the connections she made there. Her passions were diverse, ranging from watching WWE Wrestling to cheering on Texas Tech or any team she felt a connection with. Above all, Nancy treasured her family and friends, finding joy and solace in their company. Known for her boundless kindness, Nancy was a beacon of generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand. Her faith was unwavering, and she delighted in sharing the love and teachings of her savior, Jesus Christ. A service celebrating Nancy's life will be held on September 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Herrington/Land and Memory Funeral Home, located at 3434 South Loop 256, Palestine, Texas 75801. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who cared for Nancy in her final days. A special thank you is offered to Kurt Herrington for his exceptional support during this challenging time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nancy's memory to a charity of your choice, honoring her spirit of giving and compassion. Her light will continue to shine through all those whose lives she touched.
