Nancy Jo Shaffer

In loving memory of Nancy Jo Shaffer, who peacefully passed away on September 13, 2026, at the Hubbard House in Charleston, WV, after a long illness. Born on November 30, 1940, in Pomona, California, Nancy graced the world with her quick wit, warm smile, and a heart full of generosity. Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Francis Reed, and she shared a close bond with her late brother Edward Reed and his wife Carol Reed, who have also preceded her in death. Her legacy continues through her beloved children, Pete and Donna Shaffer, Robyn Shamblin, and Bob Shaffer. Nancy's love and spirit live on in her 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Throughout her life, Nancy was devoted to her work in customer service, where her outgoing and friendly personality left a lasting impact. Her colleagues and customers alike were often greeted with her infectious laughter and a joke to brighten their day. Nancy possessed a unique gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued, and her kindness and generosity touched countless lives. Nancy's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Charleston Memorial Hospital and the Hubbard House for their compassionate care during her final days.
