In Loving Memory

Nancy Jo Johnston
May 10, 1949 — May 18, 2026
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Nancy Jo Johnston, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Nancy peacefully departed this world on May 18, 2026 at the age of 77 after a long illness. Nancy was born on May 10, 1949 in Wisconsin to parents Dan and Marion Daniels.
Nancy was the loving wife of Ray B. Johnston with whom she shared 53 years of love and companionship. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, adventure and deep familial bonds until Ray's passing in 2022 left a significant void in her life.
A devoted mother, Nancy’s legacy is beautifully reflected in her children Michael J. Johnston, Penny J. Grapner and Charity L. Zorger who alongside their spouses carry forward her values of integrity, compassion and strength. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were the cornerstones upon which her family was built. Her beloved husband Ray, brother Arthur, sister Kathryn and grandson Ethan predeceased Nancy. Despite these profound losses she remained a beacon of strength, offering wisdom to those around her.
Her love extended beyond her immediate family as she was the proud grandmother of Christopher, Bryan, Emily, Sarah, Chloe, and Abigail. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren Bryan, Victoria, and Michael Jude who will learn of her love through the stories shared by their family. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held on the 20th of June 2026 in Loganville, Georgia to honor her life and legacy. As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we find comfort in knowing that she is reunited with those she loved and lost. Nancy will join her husband Ray Beyer Johnston at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
