Nancy Jane Haase

March 16, 1932 — May 17, 2026

It is with a deep sense of loss and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Nancy Jane Haase on May 17, 2026. Born to Henry Carlton and Margaret Mary Yeiser on March 16, 1932, in Long Island, New York, Nancy lived a life rich in love, service, and devotion. Nancy left this world as she lived in it—serenely and prayerfully, with her morning rosary in hand—after a courageous battle with dementia and the challenges of limited mobility. Her passing marks the end of an era for those who had the privilege of knowing her, but her spirit and contributions will live on in the hearts of many. Nancy was predeceased by her beloved parents, Henry and Margaret, and her ex-husband, George Thomas Haase. She leaves behind a loving family who cherished her deeply: her children David and his children Kai and Carlton, Sister Mary Paul, Susan, and Chris, as well as a precious grandchild. Their lives are a testament to the love and dedication she poured into her family. Professionally, Nancy was a trailblazer. Her 38-year career as the Lead Statistician for the American Heart Association was marked by diligence and an unwavering commitment to advancing medical research and public health. Her work touched countless lives and will continue to resonate within the field for years to come. Beyond her professional achievements, Nancy was a founding and active member of the Saint Joseph Catholic Church parish in Richardson, Texas. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, and she dedicated herself to the community with the same zeal and warmth that characterized all her endeavors. Nancy's life was a grand tapestry of adventures and joys. She traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, exploring new cultures and cuisines with a curious mind and a hearty laugh. Her love for reading and crossword puzzles was matched only by her exceptional singing voice, which brought joy to those around her. Her boundless sense of humor was infectious, leaving smiles and fond memories in its wake. A service to celebrate Nancy's extraordinary life will be held on May 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church, located at 404 North Ballard Avenue in Wiley, Texas. Family, friends, and all whose lives she touched are invited to join in honoring her legacy of love and laughter. The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Sisters at Nazareth Retreat Center in Grand Prairie, Texas, for their continued prayers, kindness, and hospitality, especially during the 2020 pandemic. Special thanks to Lori Leigh from HomeWell Care Services, xxxx, her dedicated hospice nurse, and Lynda Stevens, her caring neighbor, for their outstanding support and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Nancy's memory to the American Heart Association or Saint Joseph Catholic Church, ensuring that her life of service and love continues to inspire and uplift others. May Nancy Jane Haase rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love and light she shared so generously.
