Nancy Annette Weeden
May 7, 1957 — May 9, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Annette Weeden, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully on May 9, 2026, at the age of 69. Nancy was born on May 7, 1957, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to the late Roy Lyndle Beaver Sr. and Nara Fern Henderson, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms in heaven.
Nancy's life was a testament to love, dedication, and faith. She married her soulmate, Bob Weeden, on August 26, 1973, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. Their union blessed them with three wonderful children: Jon Weeden and his wife Valarie of Okay, Oklahoma; Jennifer Jordan and her husband Ashton of Rockwall, Texas; and Joseph Weeden of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma.
A devoted grandmother, Nancy's heart swelled with pride and joy for her eleven grandchildren: Molly, Kristofer, Cian, Avery Weeden; Maddie Haley and her husband Kaden; Cadee McCormack; Leah, Olivia, Nara, and Emelia Jordan. Her grandchildren will forever remember the warmth of her embrace and the twinkle in her eye.
Nancy's journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to education. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern State University, an incredible achievement accomplished while working full-time and raising her beloved children. Nancy devoted her career to nurturing young minds as a kindergarten teacher within the Muskogee public schools, retiring in 2020. Her impact on countless students' lives remains a lasting legacy of her compassion and dedication.
Beyond her professional life, Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of nature and family. Her green thumb and love for gardening brought beauty and vibrancy to all who visited her home. She possessed a unique talent for feeding any bird she encountered, ensuring they never left her care hungry. Nancy had an eye for a "good deal" and cherished time spent exploring shops and markets for treasures, often accompanied by her sweet lifelong best friend, Felecia Reed.
Nancy's heart belonged to her family, her faith, and her loyal fur-baby, Toddy, who was the apple of her eye. She found solace and happiness at her favorite retreat, the sandy shores of Galveston, which she lovingly referred to as "dirty ol' Galveston." It was here that she recharged her spirit and created cherished memories with loved ones.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Bob; her children and grandchildren; her sister, Rosmari Bookout and husband Ike of Okay, Oklahoma; her brother, Roy Jr. and wife Debbie of Sun City, Arizona; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched.
Nancy Annette Weeden lived a life devoted to Jesus Christ, and now she rests in her eternal reward. As we say goodbye, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, dedication, and unwavering faith. Her legacy of kindness, wisdom, and grace will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind.
