It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Florencia Agustin, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on September 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on May 1, 1937, in the vibrant city of Manila, Philippines, Nanay Flor was a beacon of generosity and strength, whose spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her.
A daughter of Eleuterio and Maria, Nanay Flor was predeceased by her parents and siblings Victoria, Enriqueta, Virginia, Manuel, Benjamin, Jose, and Junior sis-in-law Gloria, bro in law Gerardo. She is lovingly remembered by her children Randy, Liza & Jerry, and Dolly, her cherished grandchildren Daverielle, Terri-Allen, Jerome-Axl, and Renz-Jeremiah, and her devoted siblings Candido & his wife Bella, Illuminada & her husband Ernesto, Purita & sis-in-law Beatriz. Her family was the center of her world, and she devoted her life to their happiness and well-being.
Nanay Flor's professional journey was as rich and varied as her personal life. She began her career as an executive in the Philippine Government during the Marcos era, and later worked at Victory Liner and Joni's Bakeshop. In 1985, she embarked on a new chapter in the United States, where she contributed her talents to the retail and health care industries. Despite the demands of her career, Nanay Flor was known for her unwavering generosity and commitment to helping those in need.
Her personal interests were as diverse as her career. Nanay Flor relished traveling, crocheting, dancing, cooking, and baking. Her love for cooking was so profound that it became a hallmark of her character, endearing her to all she met. Affectionately known for her fearless approach to life's challenges, she was a single mother whose sacrifices and strength were a testament to her enduring love and resilience.
A celebration of Nanay Flor's remarkable life will be held on October 9, 2026, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Little Church of Flowers, Forest Lawn Glendale, located at 1712 S Glendale Avenue, Glendale, CA 91205. (There will be a Mass at 7:00 pm)
