It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Myrtle Fisher, who departed this world peacefully on September 11, 2026, at Monroeville Post Acute. Born on September 9, 1964, in Pittsburgh, PA, Myrtle was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was marked by kindness and generosity. Myrtle was the beloved daughter of the late Alberta Lee Fisher and a devoted sister to the late Beverly Elaine Fisher. She is survived by her loving sister, Rosalind Fisher, and her cherished nephew, Brandon McGuire. Though she had no grandchildren, Myrtle’s nurturing spirit touched many lives, leaving a legacy of love and compassion. An alumna of Steele Valley High School and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Myrtle had a creative spirit and a passion for the arts. Her talents extended beyond the canvas, as she was also known for her culinary skills, delighting friends and family with her freshly baked bread and cookies. A proud and die-hard Penguins fan, Myrtle's enthusiasm for her hometown team was infectious. Myrtle was a caregiver at heart, having selflessly cared for her mother prior to her passing. Her warm smile and generous nature were a beacon of hope and comfort to those around her. She was always willing to lend a helping hand or share what little she had to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. A celebration of Myrtle’s life will be held on September 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Tunie Funeral Home. In honor of her generous spirit, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of one's choice, spreading kindness in Myrtle’s memory. Myrtle Fisher’s legacy of love and selflessness will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, the warmth of her spirit will live on in the memories she leaves behind.
