Myron Lee Bracelin
January 3, 1938 — June 14, 2026
Myron Lee Bracelin, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Born on January 3, 1938, in St. Francis, Kansas, Myron was the beloved son of Harold and Marie Scoby Bracelin.
A man whose presence left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him, Myron was a quiet, yet profound figure in his community. He graduated from St. Francis Community High School in 1956, and shortly thereafter, he married his first love, Ruth Goodale. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared dreams until Ruth’s passing. In 1995, Myron found love once again and married Millie Bracelin, with whom he shared cherished years until her passing.
Myron was a man of action and dedication, purchasing Wray Auto Parts, Inc. in 1966, where he worked tirelessly, often into the late evenings. His work ethic was matched by his unique organizational style, which, despite appearances, was a testament to his meticulous nature. He was known for his quick wit, a crooked smile that could light up a room, and a heart full of generosity.
In his personal life, Myron was a man of simple pleasures. He loved to trap shoot, frequently competing in the National Championships in Indiana. Stock car racing was another passion of his, and he cherished the daily ritual of coffee with friends, where stories were shared, and laughter was abundant. His attire was as consistent as his character—a plaid, snap-button, long-sleeve shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots, always with $100 in the form of five $20 bills tucked in his shirt pocket.
Myron was a devoted member of his community, having served as a Wray City Council Member and being actively involved with the Wray Gun Club and the Wray Volunteer Fire Department. His legacy is carried forward by his loving children: daughter Deb Lundwitz and her husband Tracy, son James Bracelin and his wife Annette, step-daughter Pati Byers, and Tauna and her husband Jon. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and a doting great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents Harold and Marie, his brothers Bill and Keith, and his beloved wives Ruth and Millie, Myron’s memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
A service to celebrate Myron's life will be held on June 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church in Wray, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wray Gun Club, an organization close to Myron's heart.
As we bid farewell to Myron, let us remember him for his unwavering dedication, his unique charm, and the quiet strength that defined his life. May he rest in peace, reunited with those who went before him, and may his memory continue to inspire those he left behind.
