Myra was born on May 4, 1946, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Kathy and James Lewis. Her 80 years were filled with joy, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to those she cherished most. Myra was predeceased by her beloved children, Lisa Carter, her grandchildren, and her brother, whose memories she carried with her always. She is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph, her great-grandchildren Bryan, Justin, Jerry, Meghan, Amanda, Tarrant, Taylor, Casey, Mya, and Morghan, who brought immense joy to her life. Myra's legacy is carried on by the nine grandchildren who adored her deeply. Known for her infectious smile that she wore every day and her love for line dancing, Myra brought endless joy to her family and friends. Her presence was a beacon of warmth and love, and she had an unparalleled ability to make everyone around her feel valued and cherished. Her famous line dances were not just steps to music but a celebration of life that she shared with all who knew her. A service to honor Myra's life will be held on July 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the New Hope Mission Baptist Church. It is a time for family and friends to gather, remember, and celebrate the incredible life Myra lived and the love she shared with everyone she met. In the spirit of Myra’s enduring kindness and love for community, the family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the church and family friends for their unwavering support and for attending her going away service.
