In Loving Memory

Our Beloved sister Soheila Rose Gonzalez
February 12, 1981 — April 23, 2026
It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, and friend, Soheila Rose Gonzalez. Born into this world on February 12, 1981, in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts, Soheila left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Her untimely departure on April 23, 2026, at the age of 45, due to cardiac arrest, leaves a void that can never be filled.
Soheila was the cherished daughter of the late Roza Lina Gonzalez and Charles Henderson. She grew up in a home filled with love and laughter, and she carried those values into her own life. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Roza, who passed away earlier this year on February 8, and her father, Charles, who passed in 2005. Their legacies live on through Soheila's generous spirit and unwavering dedication to her family.
For 24 years, Soheila served as a security manager at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Known for her professionalism, integrity, and a kind heart that could calm any storm, she was more than just a colleague to those she worked with; she was a beacon of strength and compassion. Her commitment to her work was only surpassed by her love for her family.
Soheila leaves behind her two adored children, Sierra Simmons and Makai Simmons, who were the light of her life and her greatest joy. She was a devoted mother who always encouraged them to pursue their dreams with passion and perseverance. In every word and action, she taught them the importance of kindness and resilience.
She is also survived by her loving sisters, Roxsandra Aleasea Gonzalez-Wright and Leanna Nicole Gonzalez, and her brother, Antonio Ramon Gonzalez. Together, they shared countless memories, bound by an unbreakable sibling bond that provided comfort and joy throughout their lives.
Though Soheila did not have grandchildren or great-grandchildren, her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, touching the hearts of many who came to know her through her work and community involvement.
In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Soheila's life. While we cannot gather together as a larger community to mourn her passing, we invite all who knew her to take a moment to remember her warmth, her laughter, and her unwavering love for those around her.
Soheila Rose Gonzalez will be forever remembered for her remarkable ability to bring light into the lives of those she loved. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and love will continue to inspire us all. As we say goodbye for now, we hold on to the cherished memories and the promise that her spirit will remain with us, guiding us through the days ahead.
