In Loving Memory

My mother
October 16, 1978 — April 27, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, on April 27, 2026. Born on October 16, 1978, in California, she graced this world with her presence for 47 years, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness.
She was the beloved daughter of the late John Henry Westbrook and Pamela Erwing, and the sister of the late Cortnee Westbrook. Her life was a tapestry woven with warmth and joy, deeply cherished by her surviving family, including her 11 beautiful children: Andrea Todd, Malik, Cortnee, Diamond, India, Michael, Lanai, Mia’Shea, Amazing, and Laila. Her love also extended to her nine adored grandchildren, with whom she shared countless joyful moments.
Her career was diverse, but it was in caregiving that she truly found her calling, touching the lives of those she cared for with her innate compassion and dedication. Her nurturing nature and ability to bring comfort to others were unmatched, and she left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Beyond her professional life, she was a woman of many passions. She possessed a zest for life that was contagious, always the life of the party, whether she was barbecuing, dancing, or simply enjoying music with a drink in hand. Her culinary skills were legendary, and her kitchen was the heart of many gatherings where laughter and love were the main ingredients. She had a penchant for late-night phone calls, where she connected deeply with friends and family, sharing stories and laughter until dawn. Her love for shopping, particularly for shoes, was well-known, though she rarely wore more than five pairs from her vast collection.
Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she found immense joy in playing with them, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her home was a place where love was abundant, and her vibrant spirit made every moment spent with her feel like a celebration.
Her personality was as bright and colorful as the shoes she loved to collect. Kind and funny, she had an innate ability to make anyone feel special and loved. Her infectious laughter and joyous spirit could light up any room, making her presence a treasure to all who knew her.
In this time of sorrow, we hold dear the special message from her loving family: "We love you, momma. No matter where or how far you go, we’ll always find our way back to you...until next time, pretty lady."
As we bid farewell to our beloved mother, we find solace in the memories we hold and the love she so generously shared. She may have left this earthly realm, but her spirit will forever reside in the hearts of those she touched.
A celebration of her life will be held at a date to be announced, where we will gather to honor her legacy and the beautiful life she lived.
Rest in peace, dear mother. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Your love and light will guide us always.
