My boyfriend

November 29, 2002 — March 29, 2026

It is with profound sorrow and a touch of humor that we announce the passing of Alexis Garcia, beloved boyfriend, son, and friend, who left this world on March 29, 2026, at the age of 23. Alexis was born on November 29, 2002, in Northlake, Illinois, and though his journey was brief, it was filled with laughter, love, and a series of unforgettable, albeit questionable, adventures. Alexis's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with bold decisions and a fearless spirit. He was renowned for his bravery, unique fashion sense, and steadfast belief that duct tape could mend anything. Tragically, it was this adventurous spirit that led to his untimely departure, as he embarked on one final journey, convinced he knew a shortcut. He leaves behind his devoted girlfriend, who lovingly and diligently warned him about the perils of his shortcuts. Alexis's journey through life was shared with her, and she carries the torch of their partnership, which was marked by incredible patience and unwavering support. Her dedication to him was as profound as his ability to improvise last-minute solutions. Alexis was the cherished son of Rosa and Luis, who remember him with love and pride. Though he is predeceased by his good decisions, common sense, and punctuality, his legacy of laughter and love endures. His dignity, diet, and ability to be on time have also joined the ranks of departed traits, along with his motivation, gym membership, and unfulfilled New Year’s resolutions. In addition to his loving girlfriend, Alexis is survived by an impressive collection of snacks and unfinished meals, stowed away in the fridge. His DoorDash account remains active, a testament to his love for culinary convenience. Educationally, Alexis was a graduate of the University of Wrong Choices, where he excelled in Overconfidence and Googling Things Last Minute. He attained a PhD in "Trust Me, I Got This," a fitting credential for his life’s philosophy. Professionally, he served as the CEO of Bad Decisions Inc., senior specialist in avoiding responsibilities, and a master in the art of doing just enough. Alexis had a knack for collecting unfinished tasks and empty snack wrappers, a hobby he pursued with unparalleled enthusiasm. He excelled in scrolling endlessly and making plans only to cancel them. His strong opinions and even stronger denial were hallmarks of his character, as was his unmatched confidence and minimal common sense. A service celebrating Alexis's life will be held on March 29, 2026, at 8:00 PM at King Arthur, located at 30 King Arthur Ct, Apt 9. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his girlfriend's Aries bank account, to support her in the aftermath of this unexpected loss. Though Alexis's time with us was short, the impact of his vibrant personality and the memories of his daring exploits will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, always taking the scenic route in the great beyond.
