With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Murial "Hoko" Kanzi, a beloved soul who departed this world on July 4th, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on March 23rd, 1961, in the vibrant town of Welkom, Murial was a beacon of strength, resilience, and love for all who were fortunate enough to know her. Murial was the cherished daughter of Nomthetho and Jim Kanzi, who instilled in her the values of compassion and community. She was the youngest of twelve siblings, all of whom have predeceased her, leaving a legacy of family unity and love that Murial carried on throughout her life. A devoted spouse and partner, Murial shared a life filled with laughter, love, and mutual respect. Her unwavering affection extended to her two children, who she guided with wisdom and kindness, and to her seven grandchildren, who were the light of her life. The bond she shared with them was a testament to her nurturing spirit and endless capacity for love. Murial's family extended beyond blood, encompassing a wide circle of dear friends, esteemed colleagues, and comrades who admired her dedication and integrity. Her warmth and generosity were felt by all, and her legacy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. In honoring Murial's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate her remarkable life. Though we gather in intimate remembrance, the impact of her life will be felt far beyond any service. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her extended family, close friends, and every life she touched. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Murial's memory to a charitable organization close to her heart, supporting the causes she held dear. Murial "Hoko" Kanzi will be remembered not only for her indomitable spirit and heartfelt laughter but also for the enduring love she shared with everyone she encountered. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the memories of her beautiful life, carrying her love forward in our hearts. May she rest in peace, forever cherished and never forgotten.
