September 6, 1943 — May 4, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mumford Kenyon, who left this world on May 4, 2026, at the age of 82, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mumford was born on September 6, 1943, in the sunny town of Ventura, California, where his journey of kindness and resilience began. Mumford was a man whose life was marked by service, laughter, and love. A gifted mechanic, he spent the majority of his life dedicated to his craft, earning a reputation for his unparalleled ability to breathe life back into anything brought to his workbench. His sharp mind and quick wit were as much a part of his toolkit as his spanners and wrenches, bringing joy and camaraderie to all who worked alongside him. Mumford's hands were not only skilled in his trade but were also symbols of his generous spirit, always ready to help a friend in need. Beyond his professional life, Mumford was a beacon of warmth and good humor. Known for his intelligence and kindness, he touched the lives of many, creating countless stories and leaving behind a legacy of friendship and cherished memories. His laughter and light will be sorely missed by every soul fortunate enough to have known him. Mumford's family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his loving partner, Kathy Moore, and his devoted son, Bret Kenyon. The love and lessons Mumford imparted to his family will endure, carried forward in the hearts of his two cherished grandchildren, who were the apples of his eye. Though we mourn the loss of Mumford Kenyon, we also celebrate the rich and full life he led. His presence will continue to be felt through the stories we share, the laughter we echo, and the kindness we extend in his honor. In keeping with Mumford's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing his family and closest friends to bid farewell in a setting of intimacy and reflection. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to honor Mumford's memory consider making a donation to a cancer research charity of their choice, in the hope that one day others may be spared the struggle he so bravely faced. Mumford Kenyon's legacy of love, laughter, and service is a testament to a life well-lived. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
