Muller Ayres Copeland

July 31, 1934 — August 17, 2026

Muller Ayres Copeland, a beloved father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2026. Born on July 31, 1934, in Newnan, Georgia, Muller's life was a testament to hard work, devotion, and the deep love he held for his family and community. Muller was predeceased by his loving wife, Wilma, and his dear daughters, Bobbie Jean and Sherry Lynn. His legacy continues through his surviving family members: his daughter Diane Tolar, grandson Michael Hand(LaMonica) and granddaughter Sonya Johnson. He was a proud great-grandfather to Keith, Jon, Trevor (Mady) Johnson, and Ethan Hand, as well as to Kourtney Melvin (Justin) and Kaylan Sealy (Jake). Muller's heart was filled with joy at the birth of his great-great-grandson, Riggins. He found companionship and friendship in Carolyn Coker, who, along with her grandson Brant, brought warmth and joy to his life. Muller is also lovingly remembered by his three brothers, Maurice(Nancy)Jerry, and Marcellus Copeland, who shared in the many memories and milestones of his life journey along with two nephews David (Tammy) Estes and Aaron Hayes and several great nieces and nephews. Muller's professional life was as varied as it was dedicated. He worked tirelessly in many roles, including as a pulpwooder and farmer, before retiring from Uniroyal in Opelika. His work ethic and commitment were evident in all he undertook, and his contributions were valued by colleagues and friends alike. Muller was a devoted attendee of Fairview Baptist Church, where he found spiritual solace and community. His love for the great outdoors was well-known; he was an avid deer hunter and fisherman who found peace and joy in the simple beauty of nature. Farming was not just work to Muller, but a passion that connected him to the land and life's seasons. Muller's family invites those who wish to honor his memory to contribute to Hospice and/or the Fairview Baptist Church building fund 600 River Rd, Valley, AL 36854, reflecting the generosity and kindness that Muller embodied throughout his life. As we remember Muller Ayres Copeland, we celebrate a life rich in love, adventure, and enduring faith. He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
