It is with profound sorrow and love that we announce the peaceful passing of Ms. Sandra Smith, a cherished wife, devoted mother, adored grandmother, and beloved friend to many. Sandra departed this world on October 9, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 1, 1944, in the beautiful state of Virginia, Sandra lived a life rich with warmth, compassion, and dedication to others. Sandra was the beloved daughter of Tony and Ashley, who predeceased her. She is survived by her devoted husband of 20 years, Stanley, and her two loving children, Mark and Annie. Her legacy continues through her four delightful grandchildren, Kenny, Mark Jr., Alice, and Annie, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. A proud alumna of Lincoln High School, Sandra graduated in 1965. She then pursued higher education at Virginia, where she earned a bachelor's degree in teaching. Sandra dedicated over 25 years of her career to the same high school she once attended, touching countless lives with her passion for education and unwavering commitment to her students. Sandra’s life was filled with simple joys and profound love. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, and, above all, treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and learning, where family gathered to create cherished memories. A service to honor and celebrate Sandra's life will be held on October 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, located at 9505 Gaytown Rd.
