It is with heavy hearts yet gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Mrs. Frances Pace, who left this world peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on March 13, 1946, in the welcoming embrace of Tuskegee, Alabama, Frances was the cherished daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Simmons. Frances was a beacon of love and strength in the lives of her family and community. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her dear siblings: brothers Rodger, Steve, and Travis Simmons, and sisters Mattie Simmons Davis, Lilie Simmons Hall, and Sara Simmons Williams. Frances shared a beautiful and enduring marriage of 68 years with her devoted husband, who survives her. Together, they built a family rooted in love and resilience. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion in her children: sons Ford, Henry, and Melvin Pace, and daughters Kimberli Ross Newbold and Jackie Pace Hughes. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, and her memory will forever be held dear by her grandchildren: Marlin, Daniel, Steve, Ayonna, Alonna, Marissa, Jackie, Danice, Chelsea, and Marissa once more, along with numerous other family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity. Frances lived a life of quiet grace, known for her gentle spirit and unwavering support for those around her. Her home was a sanctuary of love, where everyone felt welcomed and valued. She had an extraordinary ability to listen and offer wisdom, making her a confidante and guiding light to many. Her family will honor her memory in a private funeral ceremony, reflecting the personal and intimate bonds she cherished throughout her life. Though the gathering will be private, the love and memories shared by all who knew her extend far beyond any single ceremony. In remembering Frances, we celebrate not only her life but also the love she cultivated in every heart she touched. Her legacy is one of unwavering love and kindness, a testament to the profound impact one person can have on the world. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the laughter, love, and stories shared by her family and friends. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of those who have gone before her, and continue to watch over those she leaves behind.
