In Loving Memory

Mrs. Jessie Lee Quattlebaum
January 4, 1950 — May 10, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Jessie Lee Quattlebaum, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on May 10, 2026, at the age of 76. Jessie was born on January 4, 1950, in the charming town of Edgefield, South Carolina, to her loving parents, the late Jessie Thomas Hammonds and the late Alzee Martin.
Jessie was a beacon of love and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her dear brother, Robert Lee Hammonds. Despite the heartache of these losses, Jessie carried forward her family's legacy of kindness, resilience, and compassion.
In the summer of 1974, Jessie embarked on a beautiful journey of love and partnership when she married Mr. Charles Quattlebaum on July 15th. Together, they built a life rich in love, joy, and cherished memories. Their union was blessed with two wonderful children, Craig Quattlebaum and Shafondra Quattlebaum, who were the pride and joy of Jessie's life.
Jessie's nurturing spirit extended to her role as a grandmother, where she found immense joy and fulfillment. Her six cherished grandchildren—Tressia Quattlebaum, Xena Trowell, Charlton Quattlebaum, James M. Eubanks Jr., Christian Quattlebaum, and Cameron Character—were the light of her life. She took immense pride in each of their accomplishments and was their greatest cheerleader.
Jessie's home was always open, filled with the aroma of good food, the sound of laughter, and the warmth of her unwavering love. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and valued, often leaving a lasting impression with her thoughtful gestures and infectious smile.
Beyond her family, Jessie touched the lives of many others with her generous spirit and boundless kindness. Whether through her volunteer work, her involvement in community activities, or simply being a good neighbor, she left an indelible mark on her community.
Mrs. Jessie Lee Quattlebaum's legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Though she has left this earthly life, the values she instilled and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
In honoring her beautiful life, the family invites all who knew and loved Jessie to join them in a celebration of her life. Details of the service will be shared in the coming days.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity close to Jessie's heart, which will be announced soon.
Jessie will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever remain a guiding light to those she left behind. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
