In Loving Memory

Mr. Roosevelt Williams
December 27, 1957 — September 25, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Roosevelt Williams, who departed this life on September 25, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on December 27, 1957, in Smithdale, Mississippi, Roosevelt was a beloved son of A.B. Williams Sr. and Elizabeth McGee, who have preceded him in death.
Roosevelt was a man of the land, dedicating much of his life to farming—a vocation that he cherished deeply. His passion for agriculture was evident in the pride he took in his work, and it was through this labor of love that he provided for his family and connected with his community. Roosevelt's joy, however, was not confined to his work; it extended to the moments spent with family and friends, where he was known for his infectious laughter and captivating storytelling.
Roosevelt's family was the cornerstone of his life. He was a devoted father to Roosevelt Botley of McComb, a cherished brother to David Williams and to his sister Maggie Bloomer of Smithdale, MS, and a proud grandfather to his four grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his dear aunts, Emma Wilkinson of McComb, MS, and Della Bonds of Smithdale, MS, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, Roosevelt was predeceased by his five brothers, A.B. Williams Jr., Samuel Williams, Jimmie Lee Williams, James Williams, Ishmon Williams, and his three sisters, Martha Botley, Beatrice Williams, and Mary Williams. Their memories now join him in eternal peace.
Roosevelt Williams will be remembered as a loving father, a dedicated brother, and a cherished friend. His legacy of love, laughter, and community will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
