In Loving Memory

Mr. Nate
May 1, 2026 — May 2, 2026
It is with great sorrow and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Mr. Nate, who left us far too soon on May 2, 2026, just one day after his birth on May 1, 2026, in the vibrant city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Despite his brief time with us, Mr. Nate brought immense joy and warmth to those around him, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of his family and community.
Mr. Nate was the cherished son of Tyler Slaght, Daniel Freatman, and Carter Kennedy, who welcomed him into the world with love and anticipation. Though his life was fleeting, he is remembered with deep affection by his family, even as he joins those who preceded him in passing. Though his education journey was never fully embarked upon, Mr. Nate was known for his unique and adventurous spirit, which shone brightly in the short time he was with us.
His short-lived career as a "Light Remover" was nothing short of legendary. Despite his young age, he fought valiantly—though unconventionally—against the "Church Gym Ceiling," a battle that will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew him. In his own way, Mr. Nate was an active member of the PCUMC community, and his passion for kicking balls into lights was a testament to his lively spirit and unique approach to life.
Mr. Nate was known for his love for students, a characteristic that seemed to come naturally to him. This love, though unable to be fully realized, left a lasting impression and serves as a reminder of the boundless potential he held. His ability to bring laughter and light into the lives of those who knew him was unparalleled, and his presence will be deeply missed.
A service to honor and celebrate Mr. Nate's life will be held on April 1, 2026, at 2:54 PM at PCUMC. Though the address remains uncertain, those who wish to pay their respects and share in the memory of Mr. Nate are warmly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Slaght Foundation, an organization that holds special meaning for the family.
As we bid farewell to Mr. Nate, we hold onto the memories of his brief yet impactful presence. His family offers a heartfelt message: "Bye Mr. Nate." Though his time was short, the joy he brought and the love he shared will endure in our hearts forever.
May Mr. Nate rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
