Mr Gary L Benoit
January 3, 1953 — May 28, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Gary L. Benoit, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed from this world on May 28, 2026. Born on January 3, 1953, in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, Gary lived a life filled with dedication, love, and resilience.
Gary was the beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. V.L. Benoit, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion that he carried throughout his life. Though he faced the sorrow of losing his dear daughter, Kristie Benoit, his granddaughter, Keylala Benoit, and his sister, Barbara Grisham, Gary remained a pillar of strength for his family and cherished the time spent with them. His beloved wife, Deborah Benoit, also preceded him in death, yet their shared love remains an enduring testament to their bond.
Gary’s life was a testament to commitment and perseverance. After completing his high school education, he embarked on a remarkable 45-year career with a grocery warehouse. His dedication and work ethic were admired by colleagues and friends alike, and he took great pride in his contributions to the company.
Beyond his professional life, Gary found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly through taking vacations. These trips were not just escapes but opportunities for Gary to create cherished memories with loved ones and to explore the beauty of the world around him.
Although Gary’s life was marked by personal loss, he possessed an enduring spirit that shone brightly in the lives of those he touched. His warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
As we reflect on Gary’s life, we are reminded of a poignant message from his family: "As you are now, so once was I, as I am now so you will be. So prepare for death and follow me." These words encapsulate the wisdom and acceptance with which Gary approached life’s inevitable transitions.
Gary leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. While his physical presence will be missed, the memories and lessons he imparted will remain forever in our hearts.
In honoring Gary’s life, we invite friends and family to join us in a celebration of his life to be held at a date and time to be announced. Let us come together to share stories, laughter, and tears, as we pay tribute to a life well-lived.
May Gary L. Benoit rest in eternal peace, reunited with those he cherished most, and may his spirit continue to guide us all.
