In Loving Memory
Mr. Corey Athel Williams
October 26, 1968 — March 18, 2026
Corey Athel Williams 57 years of age was born October 26,1968, to the late James A. Williams and Minnie L. Williams. He was a devoted father and loving husband. He passed away March 18th, 2026, surrounded by his family.
His faith walk was indeed a journey. Corey was a member of Holy City COGIC under the leadership of pastor and founder Bishop Jerry W. Taylor. Corey began to take a more serious role; he became a deacon in the church and a member of the male choir. His devotion to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was like no other. This led to him sending out scriptures and devotion quotes and prayers out every day to thousands along with his prayer warrior partner Minister Robert J. Adams. Last but not least, the love and passion he had for his motorcycles and his motorcycle family this was truly his family. Corey was the founder of Real Deal Ryderz Memphis Chapter. Many of you didn't fail to call, come by, talk to, and spend time with him. Some of you became his physical therapist and his therapist, which brought love and joy to his heart.
Corey accomplished a lot of things in his life. He started and co-owned three companies: Simple Concepts pager services, Chocolate City Hot Wings restaurant and Chocolate City Rims and tires shop.
He is survived by his wife, Knikita Williams, his daughter Jasmine Z. McKinney and his son Corey Jr., one sibling, Tammy Adams, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Take your rest, Corey Williams. You will be missed.
