July 4, 1963 — February 28, 2026

Prelude: With hearts heavy yet held together by grace, we gather in this sacred moment to honour a life that once walked among us with quiet strength, gentle wisdom, and enduring love. This is not merely a farewell, but a solemn pause where memory speaks and love refuses to be silenced. We come as family and friends, bound by shared moments that shaped our lives, remembering a man whose presence brought comfort, laughter, counsel, and dignity through every season of life. Though his voice is now stilled, its echo remains within us, and though his steps are no longer seen, the path he carved continues to guide our hearts. In this moment of exordium, we do not stand only in sorrow, but in gratitude and hope, trusting that while he has departed from our sight, he remains forever in our hearts where love lives on eternally, comforted by the words of Scripture: “Let not your heart be troubled… I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:1–3). Birth and Parentage: Late Mr. Augustine Paul Ntuk was born on 4th July 1963 into the family of Late Chief Paul Ntuk in Mbiaya Uruan L.G.A and Mrs Bassey Edet Udo of Nung in Nung Ime Abia Ekong Family, Mbiakong in Uruan L.G.A all in Akwa Ibom State. To the glory of God, he was blessed with beautiful children who are all alive to celebrate his life and bid him farewell. Occupation: With his basic education, Daddy began his career as a Civil Servant in 1982 in the then Cross River State, Calabar, as a Temporary Motor Driver 1. Through dedication and commitment to duty, he later served at the Government House as an Escort Driver, a position he held diligently for a period of ten years. His professionalism and experience in driving earned him the privilege of serving politicians and commissioners in the state and other big dignitaries. Also worked at Akwa Ibom State Secretariat still as a Government Driver to different Permanent Secretaries in the State. Daddy later was transferred to Life Enhancement, where he rose to the position of Chief Driver before his honorable retirement in 2013 after many years of faithful service. Departure: With hearts heavy yet anchored in hope, we announce the peaceful homegoing of our beloved father, who has been gently called to rest in the everlasting arms of his Maker. He departed this world after a period of illness that spanned almost two years, a journey marked by endurance, patience, and quiet resilience. Through it all, he remained surrounded by the love and care of his family, who stood by him with unwavering devotion until his final moments. In the calm of his own home, and in the comfort of his own bed, he took his last breath on the 28th of February, 2026, at about 11:00pm, closing his eyes to the struggles of time and opening them to the peace of eternity. His passing marks the end of a cherished chapter, leaving behind a silence that echoes deeply in the hearts of those who loved him. Yet, even in grief, we are comforted by the legacy of his life, the memories shared, and the love that remains unbroken by death. Though he is no longer seen among us, his presence lingers in the hearts of his children and loved ones, who will forever hold him dear and honour his memory with gratitude and love. You fought a good fight with quiet strength. You endured with courage through the storms of illness.
