February 28, 1959 — May 29, 2026

It is with profound sadness and yet a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother on May 29, 2026. She left this world from the comfort of her home, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Born on February 28, 1959, in Lilburn, Georgia, Mother was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Daughter to the late Robert and Rachel Williams, Mother was raised in a household filled with warmth, laughter, and an unyielding love that she carried throughout her life. She was predeceased by her cherished husband, George Sears, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship from the day of their union on November 14, 1980, until George's passing. Together, they built a family that would become her greatest joy and legacy. Mother is survived by her loving children: her son, John Sears, and his wife, Rachel Sears; her daughter, Mary Gillespie, and her husband, Jeff Gillespie. Her memory will forever be cherished by her precious grandchildren, Bryson Sears and Dezi Ensley, along with her husband, Alex Ensley. Her great-grandson, Noah Ensley, will grow up hearing stories of his great-grandmother's warmth and kindness. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Myra Tremege, and her secondary mother, Phyllis Williams, along with a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who became family. Mother was an extraordinary woman with a keen intellect and a passionate curiosity. She had a deep love for documentaries about monkeys and held a lifelong fascination with the mysteries of ancient Egypt. Her heart was most full when surrounded by family, as she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She embodied kindness and genuineness, qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. Her love for music was infectious, and she could often be found dancing around the room, her laughter filling the air. Ever quick with a joke or a gentle reminder to keep us grounded, her spirit was both light-hearted and fiercely protective. A private ceremony will be held to honor Mother’s life, as she wished for her loved ones to celebrate her journey in a personal and intimate setting. While we mourn her loss, we find solace in the memories she has left us and the love that will continue to guide us through our lives. Mother’s life was a testament to the power of love, joy, and the unwavering bonds of family. As we say goodbye, we hold her in our hearts and promise to carry forward the values she instilled in us. Her legacy will live on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the stories shared around family tables, and in the quiet moments of reflection, when her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, dear Mother. You were our heart, our home, and our hero. We love you forever.
