In Loving Memory of Carol Donna Turner July 5, 1943 – August 25, 2026 With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Carol Donna Turner, who left this world surrounded by the warmth and love of her children and sisters. Born on July 5, 1943, in Houston, Texas, Carol was the daughter of Archie Marie and Edgar James Wood. She entered eternal rest on August 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. Carol was preceded in death by her dear parents; her sister, Joanne McClanahan; her brother, Ronnie Wood; and her sister, Shirley Cernuch. She is now reunited with her loving husband of 59 years, Clifford Francis Turner, with whom she shared an extraordinary journey of love and companionship. Their union, which began in June 1961, was a testament to true love, marked by joyful moments filled with music and family gatherings. Together, they taught their children the profound value of family, a lesson that has been embraced and cherished by all. Carol leaves behind a family that adored her deeply. Her surviving sisters, Linda Davis, Trina Dean, and Patricia Ann Lawson, along with her sister-in-law, Joyce Stanley, will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She was a devoted mother to her four children: Steve Allen Turner and his wife Deniece; Mary Louise Ehrman and her husband Nick; David Wayne Turner and his wife Tammy Kay ; and Jay Lynn Turner with his wife Amanda Carol. Carol's love extended to her many grandchildren—Craig, Heather, Christy, Josh, Travis, Eric, Chad, and Austin—and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom were blessed by her presence and wisdom. A woman of faith, Carol found solace in the words of the Lords Prayer and 23rd Psalm, drawing strength and comfort from its verses. Her life was a reflection of its promise, as she navigated the valleys and celebrated the joys with grace and courage. In a special message from her family, they shared, God looked around his garden and he found an empty place. He then looked down upon this Earth and he saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful. He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering. He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on Earth again. He saw that the road was getting rough. The and the hills are hard to climb so he closed your weary eyelids and whispered. Peace be thine. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone for part of us. Went with you that day that God called you home Carol Donna Turner will be forever missed but never forgotten.
