Buffalo, New York—Mo’Reece Charles Johnson, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on June 7, 1990, in Buffalo, New York, Mo’Reece was the cherished son of Reece and the late Henry A.E. Johnson. From an early age, Mo’Reece exhibited a vibrancy and warmth that touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and generosity, woven together by his unwavering commitment to family and community. Mo’Reece was a dedicated father to his beautiful daughter, Nyla Lynn Johnson, who was the light of his life and his greatest source of pride. Mo’Reece was preceded in death by his father, Henry A.E. Johnson; his beloved grandparents; his son, Mo’Reece C. Johnson Jr.; and his best friend, Ronald Lynn Jones. Despite these profound losses, Mo’Reece carried forward with resilience and strength, becoming a pillar of support for those around him. A devoted brother to Lorressa Trometer, Morressa Johnson, Norressa Johnson, Sir’Jenus Johnson, and Ty’Shawn Johnson, Mo’Reece was always the one to galvanize family gatherings, ensuring that no event was complete without his presence and his culinary delights. His love for cooking was a gift he shared at every opportunity, filling homes with the aroma of his delicious dishes and the sound of laughter. For 13 years, Mo’Reece dedicated himself to his craft as a barber, where he not only transformed appearances but also uplifted spirits. His barbershop was more than a place of work; it was a sanctuary of stories, a haven of kindness, and a testament to his passion for connecting with people. Mo’Reece had a remarkable talent for football, a sport he played with zeal and skill. Yet, it was his dancing that truly showcased his joy for life, a joy he spread wherever he went. His innate kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and he was known for showing up at family events with an infectious energy that brought everyone together. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his daughter Nyla Lynn Johnson, his siblings, a host of nieces and nephews, and an extended family of friends who were touched by his kindness and laughter. A celebration of Mo’Reece’s life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Brian K. Lewis Funeral Home, located at 2528 Bailey Ave, Buffalo, New York. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Mo’Reece are invited to attend as we honor his life and the indelible impact he made on us all. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mo’Reece’s memory to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to his spirit of giving and community.
