Born on November 2, 1958, in the vibrant city of Bakersfield, California, Monique was the beloved daughter of Dornetta McKinney and Leon Dickerson. Her journey through life was marked by an indomitable spirit, a profound compassion for others, and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends.

Monique is predeceased by her dear family members, Aubrey Wiley, Kashonda Wiley, and Micheal Gutierrez. Her loss is deeply felt, yet we find solace in the reunion of their spirits.
She is survived by her beloved family, who brought immense joy and pride to her life: Alex Hester, Malcolm Hester, Tora Wandick, Hope McKinney, Dommonique McKinney, and Kaylen Gutierrez. Monique was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose love and guidance will forever be etched in the hearts of her 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Monique’s life was a celebration of love, laughter, and resilience. She had an extraordinary ability to uplift others, and her home was always a haven of warmth and hospitality. Her legacy is one of selflessness, her generosity a testament to her character, and her love an enduring gift to her family.
To honor Monique's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing her family to celebrate her life in an intimate setting, filled with personal reflections and deep love.
