In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Monica Oneal Riley, a cherished mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who passed away peacefully from natural causes on April 30, 2026, at the age of 49. Born on November 29, 1976, in Raleigh, NC, Monica was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her.
Monica was the beloved daughter of Joyce Judd and the late Reginald Judd. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication to her family were the hallmarks of her life. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Hannah Riley, Issac Riley, and Dean Riley, each of whom brought immense joy and pride into her life. Her brother, John Oneal, along with her mother, Joyce Judd, survives her, forming a close-knit family that shared countless cherished memories.
Monica's educational journey began at Apex High School, continued at Wake Tech, and culminated at Meredith College. Her passion for learning was evident in her commitment to education, a trait she passed on to her children. Though her career was centered around being a loving mother, sister, and child, Monica's contributions went beyond any professional title. Her greatest vocation was the love and support she provided to her family, embodying the very essence of compassion and selflessness.
A woman of many talents, Monica found joy in crocheting, drawing, and fishing. She cherished the simple pleasures of life, often spending time playing games with her children. Her hobbies were not just pastimes; they were expressions of her creativity and love for those around her. Monica’s vibrant spirit and artistic flair left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Monica was also an active member of her community, finding spiritual guidance and fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Long. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort, guiding her through life's challenges and triumphs.
To those who knew her, Monica was affectionately known as "Webbie," a testament to her unique and endearing personality. Her kindness, humor, and unwavering support touched the lives of many, creating a legacy of love and resilience.
A service to honor and celebrate Monica's life will be held on May 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Trice Funeral Home, located at 127 North West Street. Family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by Monica are invited to gather and remember the beautiful life she led and the profound impact she had on those around her.
