It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mone Miller, a cherished daughter, mother, sister, and friend to many. Mone's journey on this earth began on February 12, 1988, in Evanston, and it concluded peacefully on May 21, 2026. She left an indelible mark on everyone who was fortunate enough to know her, and her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed.
Mone was the beloved daughter of Chris Brown, who survives her, along with her loving children, Montez Miller, Marsalis Miller, Cameron Howard, Carmelo Howard, Shaniece Howard, Harmony Howard, and Ayiana Gunn. Mone's legacy of love and resilience lives on through her family, including her siblings, Anthony Foster, De’Angelo Brown, and Olivia Miller; her aunts, Virginia Brown and Jodie Brown; her uncle, Willie JR and his wife Euqutia; her cousins, Sheree Williams, Bre Thomas, Jackie Young and her spouse Stephanie, Larry Young, and Taniia Brown; and her adored nieces and nephews, Anthony Foster Junior, Destiny Foster, Noah Foster, and Amari Thompson.
In her youth, Mone was a dedicated and passionate student with a remarkable aptitude for mathematics, consistently earning straight A's. Her love for numbers and problem-solving was matched by her enthusiasm for the culinary arts. Mone was an exceptional cook, her skills honed during her time working in a bakery and restaurant. Her creativity extended beyond the kitchen; she was a gifted hair stylist with a knack for braiding and a unique sense of style that reflected her artistic vision.
Mone's professional journey took her through the hospitality industry, where she was known for her outgoing and humorous nature. Her ability to connect with people from all walks of life left a lasting impression on everyone she met. While she was not employed at the time of her passing, her previous experiences continue to inspire those who knew her.
A devoted member of the Vineyard Church in Elgin, Mone found solace and joy in her faith community. Her life was a testament to her vibrant spirit and her unwavering love for her family and friends. Mone lived a fulfilling life, full of laughter and love, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
A celebration of Mone's life will take place on June 6, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the Vineyard Church, located at 220 Division, Elgin, IL 60120. The family invites all who knew and loved Mone to join them in honoring her remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you carry Mone's spirit with you, remembering her laughter, kindness, and the love she gave so freely. As we gather to say our final goodbyes, let us hold close the words of the poem "Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep," which captures the essence of her enduring spirit:
*"Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain."*
The family extends their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love, kindness, and support during this difficult time. Your presence and prayers have brought comfort and solace as we remember our beloved Mone Miller. She will be forever in our hearts.
Thank you for joining us in celebrating the life of a truly remarkable woman.
