In Loving Memory
Diana Lynn Gill Corder
September 18, 1958 — April 25, 2026
It is with profound sadness and love-filled remembrance that we announce the passing of Diana "Mom" Corder, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on April 25, 2026, while doing what she loved most—nurturing her yard in the heartwarming embrace of the sun. Diana was born on September 18, 1958, in Newark, Ohio, where she spent her life creating a tapestry of love, laughter, and community.
Diana was the beloved daughter of Mary Allen and Leo Gill, who predeceased her, along with her sister, Leila, and brothers, Kevin and Eugene. In her earthly journey, she was a beacon of light and warmth, known for her infectious smile and the genuine laughter that could lift any spirit. Her presence was a comforting embrace, making everyone feel welcome and valued.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Kenneth Corder, with whom she shared a beautiful life in Newark, Ohio. Together, they raised two loving daughters, Lynna Corder and Amy Stiles, who continue to reside in Newark. Diana's legacy is also carried forward by her four cherished grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with endless love and joy.
A graduate of Diana School, Diana's passion was rooted in education and the nurturing of young minds. She dedicated her career to teaching, working at the YWCA summer camp and in various daycare centers. Her life's work was a testament to her unwavering commitment to helping others and cultivating a nurturing environment for children to thrive.
Diana found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often spending her days outdoors, whether tending to her garden or enjoying a refreshing swim. Despite a heart condition, her spirit was indomitable, and her love for the outdoors remained unyielding. Her resilience and zest for life were truly inspiring and are attributes she has passed on to those who knew her.
The family will hold a service to honor Diana's life on April 30, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Bruckler & Kishler, an organization close to her heart.
Diana will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those she loved. As we remember her life, let us carry forward her legacy of kindness, warmth, and the ability to bring joy to others.
May she rest in peace, forever held in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
