November 28, 1937 — May 3, 2026

In loving memory, we celebrate the life of Jacqueline F. Wasielewski, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 3, 2026. Born on November 28, 1937, she graced this world with 88 years of love, laughter, and music. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jacqueline was the beloved daughter of Bertrand and Delia Fortier, who predeceased her along with her brothers, Alfred and Norman Fortier. She was the devoted wife of John Wasielewski, with whom she shared a life rich in love and joy, raising four wonderful daughters in a home filled with love and laughter. Though preceded in death by her husband John, and daughters Jan Marie Wasielewski and Debbie Darley, Jacqueline's legacy continues in her surviving daughters, Lynn Ciocca, Jan Mitzelfeld, and Lisa Adair. She leaves behind 14 cherished grandchildren—Brya Darley, Delia Falcon, John Darley, Seth Darley, Jared Darley, Drew Darley, Austin Darley, Jacqueline Ciocca, Nicholas Ciocca, Ryan Kobylski, Marissa Propst, Adam Kobylski, Angelo DiMarco, and Gabriel Gillen, as well as 13 adored great-grandchildren. Jacqueline's passion for music was evident from the tender age of seven when she began playing the violin, a gift she shared generously throughout her life. Her melodic contributions to the Indian River Pops Orchestra and countless church services brought comfort and joy to many. Her deep involvement in her church extended beyond music; she was a vibrant leader of the 50's Plus Club, organizing events and trips that fostered community and friendship. A woman of many talents, Jacqueline also co-owned a small jewelry-making business with her dear friend Dee Micola, who has also passed. Her quick wit, warm smile, and genuine listening ear were hallmarks of her personality, leaving lasting impressions on all who sat with her over a cup of tea. Her ability to lighten any mood with a joke or a kind word endeared her to many. A service to honor Jacqueline's memory will be held on May 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, located at 930 SW Tunis Ave, Port St. Lucie, FL. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff of Lawnwood Hospital's 4th Floor for their tender care during Jacqueline's final days. As we bid farewell to Jacqueline, we hold onto the memories and love she imparted. Her music will forever echo in our hearts, and her legacy will continue to inspire. "Forever in our Hearts."
