Molly Mae Lawrence

Mrs. Molly Mae Lawrence, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her family, passed away on September 7, 2026. Molly was born on June 24, 1955, in Lima, Ohio to Price and Mattie Brackens who preceded her in death. Molly was the last born of eight children, she had 8 siblings who preceded her in death, Catherine Thompson, Evelyn Reeder, Ruby Franklin, Mattie Kennerly, David Willight, Milton Willhight, Lola Willhight and A.W. She met her high school sweetheart, Willie Lawrence, in Detroit, Michigan. The two later married and shared 53 years together, building a life filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories. Family was of the utmost importance to Molly. She found great joy in cooking and taking care of the people she loved. Thanksgiving was especially meaningful to her because it gave her the opportunity to cook for her family, gather everyone together, and spend time with those who meant the most to her. There were no boundaries to Molly’s love. She loved unconditionally and with all that she had. Her family was her greatest treasure, and the love she gave so freely will remain a lasting part of the lives of everyone who knew her. Molly and Willie shared a special love and connection throughout their 53 years together. One of the songs that held a special place in Molly’s heart was “Don’t Mess with Bill,” which she affectionately considered the soundtrack for her husband. Molly leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, devotion, family, and memories that will be treasured for generations to come. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her husband Willie Lawrence, Sons, Eric(Mykeda) Lawrence, Kevin Swift, and Tayvon Lawrence, Her only daughter, Octavia (Kevin)Peurie. Grandchildren, Erica Campbell, Brittany Campbell, Shiaja Lawrence, Kevona Peurie, Kevyonna Peurie, Nigel Love, Agape Love, Eric Lawrence Jr., Kevin Swift Jr., three bonus babies, Willie Lawrence III, David Lawrence and Diana Jones, 11 great grandchildren, three sisters in laws, Lauretta (Joseph), Linda, and Pam, her nieces and nephews, and friends. Molly’s memory will forever live on through the family she loved so deeply. Though she will be greatly missed, the love she gave, the meals she prepared, the memories she created, and the unconditional love she shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Special thanks to Nigel Love, Molly’s first-born grandson, whose loving heart and caring hands showed such compassion for her.
