Molly Airhart
February 14, 1986 — October 14, 2026
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Molly Airhart, a beloved wife, sister, and aunt, who left this world too soon on October 14, 2026. Born on February 14, 1986, in Lacona, Iowa, Molly was a cherished daughter to John and Karen Schurman and a beacon of joy and warmth to everyone who knew her.
Molly's early years were marked by her vibrant spirit and her unparalleled ability to bring laughter and light to any room. She graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in 2004, where she began to cultivate the qualities that would define her life—an unwavering sense of humor, a profound dedication to her family, and a steadfast loyalty to those she loved.
Her life was tragically touched by the loss of her father, mother, and nephew Casey, but Molly remained a pillar of strength for her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 19 years, Nick Airhart, with whom she shared a deep and abiding love. Her sisters, Jennie and Gina Starr, and her numerous nieces and nephews will forever hold her in their hearts, each carrying a piece of her vibrant legacy with them.
Molly's life was one of joy and passion. She was known for her wide, infectious smile and her ability to find humor in every situation. Her stubborn streak was a testament to her determination and her commitment to living life on her own terms. A proud and enthusiastic Kansas City Chiefs fan, Molly's spirited support for her team was just one of the many ways she expressed her zest for life.
Molly's family was the cornerstone of her existence. She was deeply family-oriented, always placing her loved ones at the center of her world. Her home was a place of laughter and love, filled with the warmth and comfort that only Molly could provide.
In honor of Molly's life, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice to continue her legacy of love and laughter.
Molly will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the cherished memories of her family and friends. May she rest in peace, her laughter echoing in our hearts forever.
