It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Misty Lynn Macias, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend. Misty peacefully left this world on May 13, 2026, surrounded by her family, bringing to a close a wonderful chapter of 48 years filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear.
Born on February 9, 1978, in San Antonio, Texas, Misty was the cherished daughter of Michael and Patricia Flores. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Patricia, and now leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, carried forward by her devoted father, Michael, her adoring husband of nearly 30 years, Adrian Macias, and their three sons, Adrian A. Macias, Samuel Macias, and Solomon Macias. Misty was also a proud and joyful grandmother to one grandchild, whose presence brought her immense joy and fulfillment.
Misty's journey of love began in high school, where she met her soulmate Adrian. Their union, solidified on September 28, 1996, was a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a family rooted in love and shared dreams, creating a nurturing environment where laughter was abundant and love was boundless.
A proud alumna of St. Gerard Catholic High School, Class of 1996, Misty pursued her passion for helping others by obtaining an associate degree in Respiratory Therapy from St. Philip's College. Her career as a Respiratory Therapist began at Methodist Hospital, where her dedication to the NICU and PICU departments touched countless lives over 15 years. Misty's commitment to her profession saw her join the Flight Team, before continuing her noble work at BAMC's NICU department, until she medically retired in 2025.
Misty's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of love, kindness, and a vibrant personality. She relished the quiet moments spent reading novels, the thrill of watching movies, and the simple joy of indulging in her favorite sweets. Her love ran deep, and her unique blend of sarcasm and fearless honesty brought warmth and authenticity to her relationships.
A service to honor and celebrate Misty's life will be held on June 3, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 1281 Bandera Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78228. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and pay tribute to a life lived with purpose and grace.
