Cathy’s journey was marked by a deep and enduring commitment to her faith and community. She dedicated her life to serving others, leaving a lasting impact through her unwavering compassion and kindness. For several years, Cathy devoted herself to feeding and clothing the homeless, offering a beacon of hope and sustenance to those in need. As the head of the pantry at Abundant Life Church, she ensured that countless families never went without clothing or a meal. Her affiliations with various church organizations throughout the city of Garland bore testament to her steadfast dedication and selfless spirit. Cathy’s church family and friends were the cornerstones of her life, cherished companions who enriched her journey. Yet, it was her beautiful German Shepherd, Gracie, who held a special place in her heart, her most cherished possession and constant, loving companion. Cathy's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her gentle soul and generous heart. Though she has closed her eyes on this side, we find solace in knowing that she has awakened in glory, embraced by the eternal light she so fervently believed in. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Methodist Richardson Hospital and Hospice for their compassionate care and unwavering support during Cathy’s final days.
