Miriam Tamika Murray

Miriam Tamika Murray, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on January 21, 1975, in Madison, Indiana. She peacefully passed away on September 17, 2026, in Marion County. Miriam's journey through life was marked by her radiant smile and her playful spirit that brought joy to everyone around her. Though she may have been a quiet woman, she possessed a profound strength and was never shy about expressing her feelings to those she cared for. She was the cherished daughter of David Alan Murray Sr. and Julia Jean Watson. Miriam was preceded in death by her infant son, Tony Perry, and her grandparents, Jeanne and Holsey Murray, and Imogene and Wilbur Watson. She is survived by her five children, Tierra, Terri, Dustin, Jada, and Jodi, who were the light of her life. Miriam also leaves behind her adored grandchildren: Donte, Tamika, Desire, Tj, Zayden, Davian, Myla, Esme, and Amiyah, who brought her immeasurable joy. Her siblings, Eugene, Inetta, David, Charles, and Marcus, will forever remember her as a loving sister whose laughter could light up the darkest of days. 7th-10th grade she went to Central Baptist in Cincinnati 11th grade she went to Aiken high and later got her GED in Madison. She pursued her passion for beauty by obtaining a Certificate in Nail Technology from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture. Her love for creating beauty through nail art was well-known, and she took immense pride in her work. This passion, coupled with her love for hairstyling, made her a cherished friend and confidante to many. A service celebrating Miriam's life will be held on October 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, located at 325 Demaree Dr. Family, friends, and all who knew her are invited to join in honoring her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to her funeral expense fund, reflecting Miriam's generous spirit and her commitment to helping others. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who donated or offered support during this difficult time, as well as to the dedicated staff who cared for Miriam with compassion. Miriam's legacy of laughter, love, and beauty will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will continue to inspire all to embrace life with joy and kindness.
