It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of our beloved Miriam Lang, who departed this world on March 26, 2026, after a brave and graceful fight with cancer. Miriam was born on April 2, 1944, in the serene town of Christiansted, where her journey of love, warmth, and service to others began. Miriam was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew her, and her unwavering spirit and dedication to her family and faith were evident in every aspect of her life. She found joy in simple pleasures, especially in cooking delightful meals that brought her family together around the table. Her kitchen was a sanctuary of warmth and love, where the aroma of her culinary creations mingled with laughter and stories shared among loved ones. Miriam's commitment to nurturing her family extended beyond her culinary talents. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, imparting wisdom and life lessons as she taught them with patience and love. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will undoubtedly live on through them, as she instilled in each a profound reverence for family and faith. A devout woman, Miriam's life was a testament to her unwavering devotion to God. Her faith was her guiding light, and she found solace and strength in her spiritual journey. Her grace and humility were a source of inspiration to all who were privileged to know her, and her presence will be sorely missed within her church community. Miriam is survived by her loving and devoted family, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her memory will be cherished by her children: David Rawlins, Vanessa Lang, Monique Phillip, Cassandra Lang, Stephanie Lang, Carolyn Lang, Evette Lang, Monai Parris, Adam Degrafenreid, Chelsea Degrafenreid, David Lang, and Junie Lang. She also leaves behind her four adored grandchildren, who will forever hold her close in their hearts. A service celebrating Miriam's remarkable life will be held on April 5, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Anglican Church. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Miriam are invited to gather in her honor, to remember her extraordinary spirit and the love she shared so freely. In this time of mourning, let us also celebrate Miriam Lang's life—a life filled with love, faith, and an enduring legacy of kindness. Though she has departed from this earth, her spirit remains with us, a reminder of the light she brought into the world.
