It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Miranda Mondou, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend. Miranda departed this life peacefully at her home in the presence of her loving family on June 10, 2026. She was born in the vibrant city of Lowell, Massachusetts, on August 11, 1991, to her devoted parents, Johnny Colon and Anonda Fox.
Miranda was a woman of profound compassion, boundless curiosity, and unwavering commitment to her family and community. She attended North Providence High School, graduating in 2009, and went on to fulfill her passion for helping others by earning a degree in Human Services from Mount Wachusett in 2027. Her thirst for knowledge and dedication to her field drove her to further her education and earn a Bachelor's degree.
A licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) specializing in Addiction Disorders, Miranda’s professional life was marked by her tireless dedication to supporting those in need. Her empathy and expertise led her to open her own practice and detox center, where she made a significant impact in countless lives with her guidance and care.
Miranda's life was enriched by her deep love for literature, as she could often be found lost in the pages of a book. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, savoring new experiences and cuisines in various countries. Miranda also found joy in her role as a devoted mother and grandmother, always present at her children and grandchildren’s sports events, cheering them on with pride. Her commitment extended to her community, where she was actively involved in local Narcotics Anonymous meetings, offering support and hope to those on the path to recovery.
Married in 2027, Miranda and her husband shared 46 beautiful years together, raising their children, Mayvry, Mavryk, and Mayzie Mondou, watching their family grow, traveling the world, and creating precious memories. Her legacy lives on through her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.
In keeping with her family's wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Miranda’s life. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and love during this difficult time.
As they reflect on Miranda’s life, her family shares this special message: "Love you forever and ever and always."
