It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Minta Rose Kraemer, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Minta left this world peacefully on March 20, 2026, at the age of 84, surrounded by the love of her cherished family. Minta was born on April 14, 1941, in McLeansboro, Illinois, to Dora and Benjamin Gott. She was the youngest sister to her late brothers, Arland and Frank Gott, and is survived by her caring brother, Cyrus Gott, and his wife, Pam. Her early years were spent enveloped in the warmth of family and community, shaping the values that she carried throughout her life. In 1959, Minta graduated from Wallerian High School in Chicago, Illinois. Shortly thereafter, in 1960, she embarked on a new chapter of her life, marrying and starting a family. Minta dedicated herself to her role as a homemaker, nurturing her children with love and wisdom. She is survived by her children: William Jones and his wife, Denise; Sheri Glaser and her husband, Howie; Ernest Jones III and his wife, Sabrina; DeAnn Maxwell; and James Horner, affectionately known as Sparky. Minta was preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert Jones, whose memory she held close to her heart. Minta's legacy extends to her 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her spirit of kindness, joy, and unwavering faith. She was a woman of God, deeply content in her faith, and generously shared her blessings with those in need. In 1989, Minta made her home in Globe, Arizona, where she devoted herself to the community as an active member of the Maranantha Baptist Church for over 20 years. Her dedication to the Awana ministry touched the lives of many children, guiding them with love and compassion. Minta's culinary talents were legendary; she was renowned for her award-winning breads and pies, which brought delight to many at the Gila County Fair. A woman of diverse talents, Minta was an avid quilter and found great joy in sewing. Her love for fishing was infectious, and she proudly taught her family the art of catching fish, recounting tales of her remarkable catches, including a 47-pound catfish and a six-foot-long swordfish. Minta's love for family and friends was immeasurable. She cherished every moment spent together, especially during holidays, where she lovingly upheld traditions passed down from her own childhood. Her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. A celebration of Minta's life will be held on May 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Maranantha Baptist Church in Globe, Arizona. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman who touched so many lives with her grace and love. Though she has left this earthly realm, Minta's light continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion will remain a guiding beacon for generations to come. Rest in peace, dear Minta; your love and spirit will forever remain with us.
