April 14, 1941 — March 20, 2026
Minta Rose Kraemer, a beacon of love and strength, passed peacefully from this world on March 20, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on April 14, 1941, in McLeansboro, Illinois, Minta was the beloved daughter of Dora and Benjamin Gott. Her life, filled with love, service, and dedication, touched the hearts of many and left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Minta's early years were spent in the vibrant neighborhoods of Chicago, Illinois, where she graduated from Wallerian High School in 1959. Shortly thereafter, in 1960, she embarked on her lifelong journey of family and motherhood, a role she cherished above all else. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication to her family were the cornerstones of her life.
In 1989, Minta moved to Globe, Arizona, where she embraced a new chapter of her life. In addition to being a devoted homemaker, she found fulfillment working in Home Care, offering compassion and support to those in need. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and for over 20 years, she was an active member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Globe. Minta's contributions to the Awana's ministry were immeasurable, as she joyfully shared her faith and brought many children to the Lord.
Minta's talents were as vast as her heart. An accomplished baker, she delighted in crafting award-winning breads and pies, earning accolades at the Gila County Fair. Her love for sewing and quilting created beautiful heirlooms that will be treasured by her family for generations to come. Minta's passion for fishing was well-known, and her legendary tales of catching a 47-pound catfish and a six-foot-long swordfish are cherished memories for her family.
Family traditions were sacred to Minta, and she relished every opportunity to gather her loved ones for holidays and celebrations, infusing each occasion with warmth and joy. Her family was her pride and joy, and her legacy lives on through her surviving children: William Jones (Denise), Sheri Glaser (Howie), Ernest Jones III (Sabrina), DeAnn Maxwell, and James Horner, lovingly known as Sparky. She was a devoted grandmother to ten grandchildren and cherished great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren.
Minta was predeceased by her parents, Dora and Benjamin Gott, her brothers Arland and Frank Gott, and her beloved son, Robert Jones. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends, yet her spirit remains a guiding light, reminding us of the power of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
Minta Rose Kraemer was a woman of God, content, kind, and generous beyond measure. Her life was a testament to the beauty of a soul dedicated to love and service. As we gather to celebrate her life, we remember her not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the countless ways she enriched our lives.
A memorial service will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church in Globe, Arizona, where her spirit will be honored and her life celebrated. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Awana's ministry, ensuring that Minta's legacy of faith and love continues to touch the lives of children for years to come.
