Minnie Lee Peterman

December 6, 1936 — April 28, 2026

It is with profound sadness yet with hearts full of gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Minnie Lee Peterman, who departed this world peacefully on April 28, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on December 6, 1936, in the sunny town of Pompano Beach, Florida, Minnie graced this earth with her gentle spirit and unwavering love, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Minnie was a beacon of warmth and kindness, a caring and loving woman who always made time for family and friends. Her home was a sanctuary of comfort and joy, where laughter was abundant, and love was unconditional. Her heart was as expansive as the Florida skies under which she was born, and her legacy is a testament to the strength and beauty of her character. She is survived by her cherished daughter, Barbara J. Peterman-Carthon, who was not only her greatest joy but also her best friend. Minnie's presence will be profoundly missed by her four treasured grandchildren and her sixteen great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her wisdom, stories, and boundless affection. Her family was her pride and joy, and she delighted in watching them grow, always offering her guidance and support. Minnie's life will be celebrated on May 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Mount Nebo Church, located at 3090 S State Hwy 95, Gordon, AL 36343, United States. The service will be a heartfelt tribute to her remarkable journey, honoring the life she lived with grace, humility, and compassion. Family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness are invited to join in remembering the extraordinary life of a woman who loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. As we gather to honor Minnie, let us carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in her memory, as a way to continue her spirit of giving. Minnie Lee Peterman's light will forever shine in the hearts of those she touched. While she may have left this earthly realm, her spirit will live on in the laughter of her great-grandchildren, in the stories shared by her family, and in the hearts of all who loved her. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love that she so freely gave.
